Lewis Ludlow, who captained England in the win over Canada, faces a doable ban after being cited for kneeing an opposition participant within the head.
Ludlow was despatched to the sin-bin throughout Saturday’s 70-14 victory for hanging Canada’s Jake Ilnicki in a ruck.
The Gloucester flanker, 26, will attend a disciplinary listening to on Thursday at 19:00 BST.
The World Rugby web site states the low-end sanction for hanging with the knee is 4 weeks or matches.
