‘哪吒 Nezha’ Making Process | Chinese Mythology Character Sculpture
The journey of creating a series of characters based on legendary fictional figures in Chinese mythology continues…
This sculpture is based off of the 2019 animated film Nezha. However, I wanted to give him a more calm and gentle vibe to contrast with his personality in the film haha. If you haven’t watched it yet and you are interested in the story of Nezha, I highly recommend this film. It’s available on Netflix! The director, Yang Yu, is a self-taught animator. He spent 6 years working on this movie and struggled with funding. So much respect for him! This movie deserves more recognition.
